Every company
owns at least one piece of intellectual property, its name. Choosing your company’s name, distinguishing your company from other businesses, and protecting your mark with a federal registration from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) are among the important intellectual property issues to be discussed in this presentation. In a global marketplace in which most companies can be found with a few mouse clicks, your customer’s ability to find you and/or your products is too important not to take seriously.

Depending on your role or your client’s role in the entertainment industry, your company may also own valuable creative works. The presentation will focus on how to know what works your company owns, how to protect those works, and how to receive money from other company’s use of your works.
